Join Sustainable Development Lab as a student
The Sustainable Development Lab offers a limited number of seats for students that would like to engage in an interdisciplinary team venturing into mission-driven project work. The Lab offers an organized framework for developing your sustainable development competences.
Why should I join?
As a 9th Semester student, the Sustainable Development Lab provides you the opportunity to do mission-driven project work on a sustainable cause in collaboration with one of our affiliated organizations and as part of an interdisciplinary team of students and supervisors.
The Sustainable Development Lab runs every autumn semester and features only 8 seats per education. The application deadline is 1st of July.
To enroll in the Sustainable Development Lab, you have to apply by responding to the application form below before the application deadline. Be sure to clearly state your motivation for joining as well as spelling out what your disciplinary competences are (compared to other disciplines).
Once you are enrolled, you will become part of the Sustainable Development Lab and be assigned to an interdisciplinary team of students and get the opportunity to work on one of the proposed projects of our affiliated organizations. You are also welcome to propose a project yourself, but it is important to clear this with the organizers behind the Sustainable Development Lab, as certain conditions have to be met in order to ensure the best learning and development experience for you.
During the semester, the Sustainable Development Lab will facilitate the kick-off of your project and provide learning materials to support your interdisciplinary and dynamic journey of engaging with complex and holistic sustainability challenges. During your project work, you will also have an interdisciplinary team of supervisors to support you. Examinations will also be carried out with respect for the interdisciplinary character of the projects.
Please address any questions about the Sustainable Development Lab to our coordinators shown on the front page.
